KISS THE MISS GOODBYE, THE RIGHT WAY!
We know how stressful planning a bachelorette party can be, believe me, it’s a lot of responsibility to handle for anyone, but especially for someone who has never done it before. From dinner and decorations, to entertaining a large group of women hungry for a good time, there’s just so many details you do not want to miss! Most Nashville bachelorette parties are coming from out of town, so that means you’re staying in either a hotel or AirBnB. With little time to decorate, here's some quick ideas to give you the perfect plan. Remember: the key to a flawless party is prepping ahead and keeping the bride happy!
Just Arrived? Distract the Bride, it's time to Decorate!
Whether you just arrived from the airport, or you drove in, you have little time to prepare the room. So here's the plan, pack the supplies and distract the Bride! Call the hotel ahead of time and arrange a drink for her and the gals at the bar upon arrival. Let your hotel know you need some time to set up the surprise. If you promise to write a 5-star review for them, they may even let you check in early! While the Bride is feeling super spoiled, grab someone willing to sneak away to help you start decorating! #BRIDESQUAD
THE THEME SETS THE MOOD...K.I.S.S!
Don't get too complicated with the theme, you know the saying, KEEP IT SIMPLE SISTER! The theme is crucial to the overall feeling of the weekend, so make sure you've covered the basics with what your Bride wants and DOES NOT WANT. Not everyone is down for strippers and floating male body parts, so be sure your decor is tailored appropriately. Always plan ahead (at least 3 months in advance) as you never know what shenanigans can happen, especially when you're going out of town. Make your reservations early, pack any needed decorations to save a trip to the party store, and keep to the schedule!

Add a booty shaking playlist to really get the party started!

You know the saying "What Happens in Vegas..." but what happens in the city of sin, doesn't always stay there! Coming from someone who has lived 5+ years in Las Vegas, I have seen the best and the WORST the city has to offer, and when it comes to bachelorette parties, it's totally obvious that Nashville is the place to go!
According to Nashville Scene, "In 2015, Travel + Leisure named Nashville the No. 1 spot for a “girlfriend getaway,” and Glamour included it on a list of the nation’s Hottest Bachelorette Party Destinations!” Also, earlier in 2018, Nashville was ranked #3 as the "Best Bachelorette Party Location" by Betches.com.
Where Bride-to-be's are where they SHOULD be!
It's no secret to Nashville locals, every weekend we see bridal parties roaming from bar to bar on Broadway! With restaurants, boutiques, nightclubs, and live music on every corner of town, Nashville has become an entertainment city for all occasions, especially bachelorettes! So what makes it better than Las Vegas?
"Nashville's hospitality & charm beats Vegas's cheesy vibe HANDS DOWN."
Nashville has southern charm unmatched anywhere! In Vegas, there are tourists from all over the world, and everyone is having their own outrageous 'Hangover' movie experience, Yikes! We're talking overly intoxicated, loud and obnoxious, and sometimes dangerous party guests and activities. No one cares that it's your special night too. In Vegas, anything goes, and that is NOT always a good thing. These 'Hangover' type parties are the ones to avoid, but in Vegas, it's just a constant overcrowded environment, anywhere you go. In the sweltering heat of the desert, it's just a recipe for disaster. Here in Nashville, the atmosphere is much more easy going, safe, cooler and inclusive! You may even become good friends with strangers, because Nashville is much more personable and accessible for newcomers. No worries about catty girl squads stomping down the strip, or drunken bachelor's harassing your crew all night! Expect to have cute cowboys who just wanna line dance and buy you a whiskey. Yee-haw!
No Lines. No Covers. No Drama. Time & Money Well Spent!
A trip to Vegas is NO DOUBT an expensive one. Once you add up all the costs of the flights, hotel, car rental, tours, drinks, and food, you don't even want to think about the extra costs of daily Vegas charges! It's bad. Not only do they NO LONGER OFFER FREE PARKING on the strip, but they charge a ridiculous amount for numerous things at your hotel, restaurants, events, and nightclub venues. Cover charges can range from $30 to even $200 to some pools and events!
So, not only are you going to wait in lines outside every club (in heels for at least an hour) you will also pay a lot for it, before you even get a ridiculously priced drink! Also, you have to wait a while for that as well. Bartenders typically serve their friends and locals first, they are tip hungry and you've already annoyed them with your party's requests for shots. Here in Nashville, there are so many things to do for free or with minimal/no cover charge! Nightclubs don't typically have a cover charge and if you're a bachelorette, prepare to get super special attention! We love having women from all over the world visiting to celebrate their last thrill with their friends!
Also, screw the heels, we wear cowboy boots!
The party is planned, and now you’re about a month away from the bachelorette bash. What now? It's time to send out invitations! It’s the easiest way to get all the information out and make sure you know who is and isn't coming.
First, make a list. See if the bride wants strictly bridesmaids or if any other friends of hers are invited. Once you have a list, contact them to get addresses and let them know to be expecting something wedding related soon.
Second, the bachelorette party invites should match the theme you have in mind for the party and can include the itinerary or just a cute rhyme. Make sure to include any important information, such as the bride's lingerie sizes for gifts, or outfit requirements for the party day. If it is a destination bachelorette party, don't forget to add arrival and departure dates.
Now that you're prepared for what type of invitation you need and how many, here are 5 bachelorette party invites with every bride in mind. Round up your headcount to account for any written mistakes or damages that might occur during shipping. Also, try to include either a point of contact or a confirmation card for them to send back.
Keep in mind that while invitations aren't necessary, they are a fun way to get all the necessary information out without the fear of a deleted text or misunderstanding.
We all know that the point of bachelorette parties is to throw one last hurrah for the bride in whichever way she feels comfortable. And if comfortable for her is partying all night in Nashville, then that’s what will happen right? Today, I want to touch on a topic that might not be as thought about when planning a bachelorette party; safety.
Between the news and Facebook, it’s easy to become desensitised to the dangers that lurk in the shadows. It’s a hard fact to face but it’s one that’s necessary to plan for in this day. So in order to keep you, your friends, and everyone else involved in the bride’s next-to big day safe, here are a few tips to consider. Just remember, it’s a day for the BRIDE.
Even when you plan on sticking together the whole time you’re in town, things happen and sometimes you get separated. Pair together at the beginning and make sure where one of you goes, the other follows. Large groups such as bachelorette groups are targets since they're typically distracted. Watch each others backs to keep everyone safe and items with their rightful owners.
Remember the meeting spot
Figure out where you’ll be going for the day and find a central point to regroup if someone goes missing. That way, if you do end up separated from the rest of the group, everyone knows what to do and where to go. Phone batteries aren’t always reliable and it’s always good to have a backup plan.
If something doesn’t feel right, let the rest of the group know. Stay alert and trust your gut. Nashville has thousands of people going in and out at all times, so anything can happen. It's easy to get caught up in the lights and energy of Broadway. If you suspect that someone has drugged your drink, toss it. Make sure you watch the bartender make your drinks and don't accept them from strangers. There's nail polish in the works that will tell you if your drink has been spiked by changing color.
Don’t be distracted
Pictures are great but it’s easy to go overboard. Make sure you pay attention to your stuff; purses or anything in your pockets are typical targets for those looking to make a quick getaway. Don't place your items down; Nashville has had robberies before, don't make it easy for them.
Here are a few apps that you can use in case of emergencies. Use them for peace of mind and to keep the night flowing without interruption.
