The Wine Enthusiast Bride To Be

So you're planning a party for a classy, wino... No need to fly to Napa Valley and spend an outrageous amount of money on airfare, car rentals and hotels! Nashville has everything you need for a weekend of wining and dining.

First, visit the Nashville Art Crawl. This event occurs the first Saturday of every month from 6-9 pm. It is anything but stuffy. This is a large, I mean LARGE, group of 20-40 somethings that socialize while walking from gallery to gallery and drinking the free wine. There is even a free shuttle that will take you from one gallery to the next... kind of like a bar crawl. Wear a cute summer dress, a comfy pair of heels and be ready to make new friends. See more information on this classy event at the Downtown Partnership.

Continue your evening at one of Nashville's many wine bars. Grab a bite and enjoy more of your favorite beverages at City Winery. This large and beautiful wine bar is located within steps of downtown Nashville.

Most importantly, don't forget to visit Arrington Vineyards. This beautiful vineyard is just 25 minutes from Nashville and owned by famous country star Kix Brooks.

Before heading out, pack yourself a basket of goodies. Items to include: cups or wine glasses, napkins, cork remover, wine stopper, camera, a blanket and snacks (cheese, sandwiches, etc.) Also, arrange to have a designated driver because the wine is oh so good! Upon arriving, you will be greeted by the stunning scenery and rolling hills. On a slow day you can park near the top of the hill. On a normal weekend you will most likely park near the bottom, but don't fret - it's free and a super friendly golf cart will scoop you up from your car and race you up to the festivities.

Live music plays almost daily (see schedule). If the music doesn't have you swaying, the wine will. Sign up for a free wine tasting and choose your favorites. Then grab some bottles and pick your chill spot. This is the ultimate place for a relaxing, yet fun outing. And don't be surprised if you see Kix Brooks overseeing his master creation.
